One ‘place in time’ I had always wanted to be a part of made me both excited and mournful to think about visiting. Yet, somehow I just had to go and see it for myself. Very few people would ever have the opportunity to do so and even fewer would ever live to tell about it. I knew it was the next place I needed to travel to. I was going to travel back to April 9, 1912 to Southampton, England to see the Titanic before its fateful voyage.
I went to my favorite antique shop to visit my new friend Peggy and see if she had any of the clothing and items I would need for my journey. When she saw me walk through her doors her face lit up bright with a smile streaming across it.
“Lauren, honey, you came back for a visit. You are such a sweet thing. How did your history project go?”
I looked at her inquisitively at first, not remembering the story I had given her last time I came. I had previously purchased “items of historical importance” for my last time travel and had told her it was for a history class project. I scrambled in my head to try to come up with a response. My mind was so clutter with other things that I hadn’t prepared myself for answering questions.
“Oh, uh…. Great! I got an A on the project. The professor thought it was cool that I had added so much detail to my report. Thanks again for your help! The costume was a hit!”
I didn’t want to tell her that some of the pieces of the outfit didn’t quite fit in with the time period, but truthfully, it had hardly been noticed. I think.

I finally figured it was time I get up to speed with technology and create a blog. I thought if I could share some of my thoughts and writings to those interested it might motivate me to finally finish all the stories I've created and work on getting them published! I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed imagining them!
